Abstract
Rats alternately-fed large and small quantities of laboratory chow gained significantly more weight and survived longer than did control animals receiving the same total quantity of diet in equal daily increments. Tibial measurements and epididymal fat pad weights indicate that the greater weight gain is due to greater fat deposition, although neither group of animals was obese. Keywords
