Abstract
The analysis of light trapping and related effects in thin-film GaAs solar cells is presented. A model is developed to optimize the structure of GaAs solar cells with light trapping. Several design approaches for incorporating light trapping in thin-film GaAs solar cells are discussed. A light-trapping GaAs solar cell produced by liquid-phase epitaxial lateral overgrowth is described.<>Keywords
