Enthalpy of combustion of organo-metallic compounds measured with a vacuum-jacketed, rotating, aneroid calorimeter. The enthalpies of formation of germanium tetrabenzyl and di-germanium hexaphenyl

Abstract
Germanium tetrabenzyl and di-germanium hexaphenyl have been burnt in a rotating aneroid combustion calorimeter. The standard enthalpies of combustion were respectively: ΔH° c=–3774.9±2.5 kcal mol–1; ΔH° c=–4782.4±2.5 kcal mol–1, which yield the standard enthalpies of formation : ΔH° f(GeBz4, c)= 52.5±2.5 kcal mol–1; ΔH° f(Ge2Ph6, c)= 106.7±2.5 kcal mol–1.
