Abstract
A patient with a hyperactive carotid sinus and auricular flutter is presented. The flutter was not due to a tonic activity of the vagus, and even in the presence of a hyperactive carotid sinus mechanism vagus stimulation did not affect flutter. The patient''s convulsions, which appeared when either carotid sinus was stimulated, were not entirely due to the asystole which the stimulation brought about.
