Abstract
A child with segmental neurofibromatosis is reported. The clinical, histopathological and ultrastructural characteristics of this rare condition are described. This entity is considered to be a localized form of von Recklinghausen's disease. The aetiology is not clear, but somatic mutation in early embryonic development may be important. Keywords
