Lifetime of theState of Singly Ionized Helium

Abstract
The natural lifetime of the state of has been measured in a decay-in-flight experiment. The result, msec, is consistent with the theory of two-photon spontaneous emission and determines an upper bound for the coupling constant of the pseudoscalar "anapole" interaction.
