Abstract
Impurity ion density spatial profiles (obtained by using the unique spectroscopic apparatus existing on TFR) have been compared with the predictions of ionization equilibrium calculations. Within the present uncertainties in ionization and dielectronic recombination rate coefficients, heavy impurity ions are found to be at ionization equilibrium. Keywords
