Abstract
The calcium content of the axial skeleton and the forelimb is a linear function of body weight and is increased in rats when they drink water containing 20 ppm of fluorine in the form of sodium fluoride, but not in the hindlimb nor when they drink water containing 2 or 5 ppm of fluorine. Breaking force of the humerus and femoral shaft is a linear function of body weight and is unaffected by water fluoridation up to a concentration of 20 ppm. Keywords
