Abstract
This paper deals with the study of starting transients of a static slip-energy recovery drive. The non-linear equations of the system have been simulated on a digital computer and solved by the application of Runga-Kutta method. The effects of firing angle, load, system inertia and filter time constant on transient torques and speeds following a switching operation have been investigated. Keywords
