Physiological Studies On a Genetic Tumour of Pisum sativum L.

Abstract
The induction of a neoplastic growth on pea pods has been studied. Neoplastic growth was found to require the presence of seeds within the pod. Plant growth regulators supplied to pods in which the seeds had been killed replaced the seed requirement. It is suggested that endogenous growth regulators may be involved in tumour induction. This is discussed in relation to other plant tumours.
