Abstract
The paramagnetic resonance of Gd3+ in single crystals of La(NO3)3·6H2O and Nd(NO3)3·6H2O is studied at room temperature. A seven‐line spectrum for H∥Z as well as for H ∥ X corresponding to ΔM = ±1 transitions, are observed in these crystals. The estimated zero‐field splittings of Gd3+ in various single crystals studied by the authors are compared and discussed. Keywords
