Abstract
CURE OF Helicobacter pylori infection has resulted in ulcer healing and a significant reduction in ulcer recurrence, thereby altering the natural history of ulcer disease.1-7 In this context, numerous H pylori treatment regimens, including an antisecretory agent with 1 or 2 antibiotics, administered for 7 to 14 days have been evaluated.8-25 Since consistently higher H pylori cure rates have been reported with proton pump inhibitor–based triple therapy, growing consensus favors this therapy over proton pump inhibitor–based dual therapy.26This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
