Abstract
Plasmids pUB110 and pBC16 were introduced by protoplast transformation into the entomocidal bacterium B. sphaericus 1593. Transformations expressed the antibiotic resistance determinants present on the plasmid and exhibited sporulation frequencies and larvicidal toxicities equivalent to those characteristic of the parent strain. This is the 1st report of genetic transfer in B. sphaericus. This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
