Abstract
Criteria for the selection of line conductors and insulators are presented which may be helpful to the HV line designer when choosing among different line solutions. Methods are given for the predeternination of RIfrom bothconductors and insulatorstrings, then criteria are exposed for the definition of "limit" values for RI levels; these criteria are for the designer's reference. Keywords
