Abstract
The effect of cardiac glycosides on carciac muscle; the effects on Na+,K+-transport and Na+,K+-ATPase; the influence of Ca on Na+K+-ATPase; the mechanism of inhibition of Na+,K+-ATPase by digitalis glycosides; the chemistry of Na+,K+-ATPase; antibodies to Na+, K+-ATPase; digitalis Ca and Na+K+-ATPase; correlation of inhibition of Na+,K+-ATPase and positive inotropy; the lack of correlation of Na+,K+-ATPase and positive inotropy; and speculation on the molecular changes that accompany digitalis glycoside effect on Na+, K+-ATPase were reviewed.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
