Abstract
The disintegration of Labour solidarity in recent years in multi-ethnic Malaysia poses a major challenge to the understanding of interested and concerned scholars. This paper addresses itself explicitly to this problem. To be effective, it is believed that a multi-pronged approach should be used. This article will trace and delineate changing patterns of capitalist accumulation while linking it to changes in the nature and composition of the Malaysian labour force. Empirical studies of workplace labour struggles will be introduced to show the interaction between macro-dynamic tendencies and developing trends at the workplace level.
