Abstract
Percent hollow stem in broccoli (Brassica oleracea L. Italica group) was increased as N fertilizer rate increased. Hollow stem incidence was greatest at first harvest but declined with each harvest thereafter. The relationship between days to maturity and percent hollow stems could be described by a parabolic regression equation which indicated that hollow stem percentage was negligible if time to maturity was 110 days or more. Keywords
