Abstract
While the literature of multiple idiopathic hemorrhagic sarcoma of Kaposi is extensive, there are few reports of the appearance of this disease in a full-blooded Negro. Pardo-Castello,1 in 1931, was the first observer to report a case; his report was followed by the reports of Ellis2 and Symmers,3 the latter with observations at necropsy. Andrews4 presented the case of an American mulatto with Kaposi's sarcoma. Aegerter and Peale5 reported a case in which the heart was involved. Symmers,6 however, who had the opportunity to examine the histologic preparations from the cardiac tumor, disagreed with the diagnosis as far as the cardiac lesion was concerned. The present case is another instance of Kaposi's sarcoma occurring in a full-blooded Negro. Keywords
