Abstract
The motion of K+ ions in electrostatic fields in argon has been investigated experimentally, in the field-to-density range 10+-Ar interaction potential has been obtained by comparing the measured mobilities and diffusion coefficients with values obtained from Monte-Carlo simulations. The value of the potential at the potential minimum is found to be approximately -0.14 eV, with an equilibrium internuclear separation rm equivalent to 2.86 AA.Keywords
