Magnetostatic dislocation interaction in invar alloys

Abstract
Within the framework of micromagnetics the magnetostatie interaction of parallel dislocations in ferromagnetic crystals is calculated. For Invar alloys this interaction is considerably enhanced, since the magnetic moment depends strongly on pressure. The interaction force is repulsive or attractive, depending on the relative orientation of dislocation line, Burgers vector and magnetic field.Keywords
