Abstract
Germination in putrefactive anaerobe no. 3679 at each of 6 temps. was apparently logarithmic. Rate constants of germination were detd. and substituted in the Arrhenius equation for calculation of [mu], the temp. characteristic. A value of 10,300 calories was obtained. Rate of germination and rate of vegetative cell development were apparently affected differently by temp. changes. Keywords
