Electronic WDM crosstalk cancellation

Abstract

We report the electronic cancellation of WDM demux crosstalk at 10 Gb/s. We demonstrate a power penalty reduction of up to 2 dB for an optically amplified system, and 1 dB for a thermal noise limited system. We also analyse and quantify the limits of such a technique in a real system.
