Abstract

The mixed-valence Cu^I/Cu^II complex [Cu₂I₄][Cu(LH)₂](1)(LH = 1,1-di-2-pyridylethanol) reacts with dioxygen to give the Cu^II complex [Cu₂I₂L₂](2); both (1) and (2) have been characterized by X-ray structure determination.
