Abstract
Rheumatoid ArthritisMany etiologies have been postulated for rheumatoid arthritis. Perhaps the most popular, year in and year out, has been that the disease is due to some form of infection. Both the pathology and the serology of the disease are consistent with chronic infection, but they are also consistent with any other chronic immunizing process. In the absence of any reproducible demonstration of an infective agent in rheumatoid arthritis, new attention is being given to the possible roles in pathogenesis of the autoantibodies in the disease.Rheumatoid Factors66 These autoantibodies to γG globulin (anti-γG globulins) are a hallmark of . . .Keywords
