Abstract
A kinetic model for the four level iodine laser is presented which includes pumping, radiative, and collisional transfer between levels. Numerical results obtained are shown to be in good agreement with available experimental data. The model correctly predicts the influence of pressure level and flash lamp parameters on the laser output and the occurrence of spiked pulses. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
