Abstract
A windowless resonance discharge lamp with differential pumping is described. The lamp can be isolated from an ultrahigh vacuum sample chamber by a bakable valve. The differential pumping arrangement is very simple and uses only one mechanical forepump and one oil diffusion pump. Keywords
