Abstract
A case is presented of a 75-year-old woman with a 30-year history of infrequent two- to six-day episodes of withdrawn behavior. One such episode was observed, with serial EEG tracings showing continuous spike-wave abnormalities, apparently arising from a frontal parasagittal focus. The differentiation of ictal twilight states from other epileptic and non-epileptic episodic behavior disturbances is discussed.
