Abstract
Traumatic intracranial extracerebral lesions (21) in 15 patients were examined with the EMI scanner using the 160 .times. 160 matrix. The results were compared with operation and angiographic findings. Although angiography seemed to be a more reliable diagnostic aid, computer tomography had important advantages as it provided information on the nature and extent of the extracerebral lesion and on concomitant brain damage.
