Abstract
The theatre has long been a powerful medium which enables human beings to examine their world and the people who inhabit it with them. Through drama people can learn more about themselves and others and can develop a greater understanding of society. Drama in education allows children to follow the same path of discovery. Drama facilitates the transfer of power from adults to children in developmentally appropriate ways. This article explores the process of experiential drama in which adults and children work together and in which this transfer of power is engendered. Keywords
