Abstract
A microchip based electrophoresis separation system was interfaced with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry to provide rapid elemental speciation capabilities. The feasibility of this hyphenated method for elemental speciation was demonstrated by the on-line electrophoretic separation of CrIII and CrVI within 30 s using an 8 cm long separation channel etched in a glass base. Keywords
