Abstract
We present a deep, wide-field (∼ 10×10 arcmin2) [S II] λλ6717, 6731 image of the HL Tauri region. This image reveals a spatially extended emission region, previously undetected, which is aligned with the HH 30 jet and counterjet, ending in a bow-shaped structure to the north-east. We also detect HH 266, a second bow-shaped structure which might correspond to the north-eastern head of the jet emanating from HL Tauri. Our image also includes HH 262, which is shown to have a previously undetected extended emission region. Keywords
