Abstract
The hyperfine structure of the sodium lines from a liquid-air cooled Schüler tube was observed with a Fabry-Perot interferometer. Each line has two resolvable components; the separations are: for , 0.0555 , for , 0.0612 . The total h.f.s. splitting for the state is 0.0583 , for the state 0.0050 and for 0.0083 . Relative intensity measurements are consistent with a nuclear spin of . The nuclear magnetic moment is calculated as Bohr magnetons.
