Abstract
• The diagnosis of migraine-related stroke is reviewed and illustrative case histories are provided. The International Headache Society classification of "migrainous cerebral infarction" is amplified and further categorized using strictly defined diagnostic criteria. True migraine-induced stroke is revealed as only one of a number of migraine-related stroke syndromes. Keywords
