Abstract
A report of a patient with acute pulmonary histoplasmosis acquired in a limestone cave is presented. The association of this disease with bat excreta, often found in caves, is noted. An extended course of antimicrobial therapy was not needed inasmuch as the illness appeared to be self-limited.Keywords
