Abstract
Knowledge of contaminant soil‐groundwater partitioning is of crucial importance in determining contaminant transport. The majority of studis to date examine only single contaminant partitioning. Studies presented in this paper investigated single contaminant and multiple, competitive contaminant partitioning of benzene, toluene, and xylenes with a sandy loam soil. Batch serum bottle and flow soil column studies were utilized. Significant competitive effects were observed. Keywords
