Abstract
This study was designed to investigate the relationship between perceptual deficit and chronicity in schizophrenic patients. Tests used included the Street Visual Gestalt Test, Jones Probability Grid Plates, depth perception, and critical fusion frequency (CFF). A total of 120 schizophrenics was assigned to six groups differing in duration of illness and compared to a control group of 20 TB patients. Extraneous variables deemed likely to affect performance were adequately controlled. Keywords
