Conductance and statistical properties of metallic spectra

Abstract
We present a new expression of the dissipative conductance and study under which conditions it is equal to the Thouless conductance defined as the curvature of the energy levels for a change of the boundary conditions. This equality is related to the transition between different classes of universality of random matrices.Keywords
