Abstract
Ackertia marmotae n. sp. from Marmota monax canadensis (Erxleben) is described. A. marmotae n. sp. is considered distinct from A. burgosi (de la Barrera, 1926) Vaz, 1934 on the basis of its longer spicules, smaller spicular ratio, the presence of caudal papillae in the male, and much larger microfilariae. The relationship of Ackertia Vaz, 1934 to Wuchereria Silvo Araujo, 1877, Brugia Buckley, 1960, and Dipetalonema Diesing, 1861 is discussed. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
