Abstract
A survey has been made of the epidemiology of thermal injury in Melbourne, with a view to ascertaining whether there is a demand for an adult burns unit in this city. It is suggested that there are sufficient numbers of burnt patients to maintain operating efficiency of a specialized unit, and that results in this city could be improved. Keywords
