Abstract
Through the use of the Horsely-Clarke technique in a series of cats, the hypothalamus was explored by means of electrical stimulations and simultaneous ECG recordings. The manifestations, obtained by stimulation of histologically confirmed points, chiefly in the lateral and posterior hypothalamus, included marked alterations in the wave components QRS and T, changes in rhythm such as bigeminy and trigeminy, A-V dissociation, premature, paroxysmal nodal and ventricular tachycardias, and the Wilson-Wolff-Parkinson-White configuration. Keywords
