Abstract
Summary: Five cases of strangulated femoral hernia, all with a delay in establishing the diagnosis, are reported here. These cases illustrate the continuing difficulties experienced, both in primary care and hospital practice, in making this diagnosis despite the clinical awareness of this condition.Keywords
