Abstract
The pyrogenicity of conc. protein solns. can often be reduced by treatment with the ion exchange compound, "decalso", and by filtration through S-6 pads of the Republic series. The amt. of "decalso" and the area of pad space used are functions of the degree of pyrogenicity and of the protein conc. of the soln., and for max. effectiveness they should be detd. experimentally for each soln. to be treated. Keywords
