Abstract
We show that the asymptotic behavior of Monte Carlo simulations of many-body systems is much more complex than that produced by continuous dynamics regardless of the updating process. Therefore the nature of time in Monte Carlo processes is discrete enough so as to produce dynamics which is different from that generated by the familiar master equation. Keywords
