Abstract
The photopolymerization induced by the excited cyanine dyes was investigated, and it was established that the direct interaction between excited dye and monomer initiates the polymerization. The quantum yields for photobleaching and for the initiation process in the polymerization were both found to be of the order of 10−4. It was further found that one dye molecule produces one or two kinetic chains of polymerization. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
