Abstract
Following chronic administration of isoproterenol, the parotid glands of the domestic pig were removed and studied with transmission electron microscopy. Acinar cells were markedly altered, whereas ductal elements were apparently unchanged. A notable hypertrophy of Golgi membranes was observed. In addition, electron-dense bodies located near the Golgi membranes were more numerous after isoproterenol administration. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
