Abstract
In 70 patients with traumatic ocular nerve palsy, visual axes were restored to parallelism in the primary position by operation on extrinsic eye muscles. Surgical treatment often was carried out in several stages, in unilateral cerebral nerve injuries y the prognosis of normal function was best in fourth nerve palsies, very good in sixth nerve palsies, and only fair in third nerve palsies. Bilateral injuries were more difficult to treat. Keywords
