INTRACELLULAR DISTRIBUTION OF ELECTROPHORETICALLY DISTINCT FORMS OF HEPATIC GLUCOSE 6-PHOSPHATE DEHYDROGENASE

Abstract
Perfused rat liver homogenates were subjected to washing and differential centri-fugation to obtain participate fractions containing mitochondria and microsomes. These fractions and the microsomal supernatant (cell sap) were subjected to electrophoresis. The effects of different chemicals on the resulting electrophoretic fractions of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase were studied. The results are discussed.
