Abstract
Several response measures indicated that Sasco and Holtzman rats differ behaviorally along an emotionality dimension. The Sasco stock was less active and had a stronger tendency to freeze than Holtzman Ss. The relatively nonemotional Holtzman Ss showed confinement effects during extinction with a relatively short ITI, while the more emotional Sasco Ss showed such effects only for a long ITI. Results are interpreted within the framework of elicitation theory. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)Keywords
