Abstract
The reaction rate of H with DF has been measured at temperatures between 2100 and 3900 °K in a shock tube study. The measurements indicate that the sum of the two reaction rates for H+DF→HD+F (rate k3) and H+DF→D+HF (rate k4) has an activation energy of 33 700 cal/mol⋅sec. These data establish upper limits for each of the rate coefficients and should serve as a guide for theoretical calculations. Keywords
