Abstract
Phase error bounds for a fiber gyro with an imperfect polarizer are calculated assuming a broad-band source and high-birefringence fiber. The phase error and resulting zero-point drift is related to the polarization-holding parameterhof the fiber. Comparison of the theory with recent experimentally observed bias drift is made. Keywords
